SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL December 6, 2007

WHY I LOVE IT: Look how clean and subtle, yet detailed it is. I’d pop a vibrant bunch of flowers in this Large Black and White Carved Vase  in a hot minute. This beauty can be found at marymeestudio.

WHY I LOVE IT: POW! These Daisy Vinyl Wall Decals hit me in the face. They’re large, bold,  and add such a dramatic effect to a small space. What’s not to love? There are even more great decals at Michelle Christina Wall Graphics.

WHY I LOVE IT: I feel warm just looking at this Lamb-soft Neckwarmer  that I happened upon at Ellita’s Flying Snail. I’m a stylish lady who hates the cold. This looker right here, would definitely help me deal with the freezing temps outside.

WHY I LOVE IT:  Golden and Lovely Earrings they certainly are.  Local Library & Lauren Haupt is where I ran into these darling earrings. They’re a little hip, a little romantic, and a whole lotta gorgeousness.

WHY I LOVE IT: I forever need paper because I’m always jotting down notes. Therefore I need the Winter Branches Blank Notebook   in my life. The print that covers the notebook is sweet and it comes in a variety of colors. They all are available at jengs shop.

HANDMADE SUPREME: WHAT IT’S ALL ABOUT December 6, 2007

It was inevitable – I had to create this dynamic new blog!Why?

Well, it’s Etsy’s fault of course. And in case you’ve been hiding under a rock in the middle of nowhere and have no clue what an Etsy is, let me enlighten you: Etsy.com is an extraordinary  site dedicated to giving creative folks (from all walks of life) the ability to sell their handcrafted works all in one big marketplace. Fierce, right??? I know.

Needless to say, since discovering Etsy a few months ago, I’ve become infatuated (or . . . ahem . . . bordeline addicted) to browsing through the gorgeous creations of some unbelievably talented people. People who sit in the corner of their kitchen,  at a desk in their living room, or in a tiny studio, creating great wonders. People who aren’t found in your every day Goliath chain stores (“Big Box” stores as handcrafters like to call them). With that said, after months of oohing and aahing, I realized that tons of people aren’t hip to the goodness that is Etsy. That’s where my fingers, a keyboard, and a trained hawk eye for Etsy drool-worthy items come in.

Daily, I’ll post 5 handmade items from Etsy’s site and I’ll be sure to tell you why I love each and every one. Funny thing is, I’m sure you will too. Be sure to check back often – there’s so many goodies to choose from. I’ll dig and come up breathless with something you’ll probably want to grab for yourself, a friend, family member, or significant other.
