HANDMADE SUPREME: WHAT IT’S ALL ABOUT December 6, 2007

It was inevitable – I had to create this dynamic new blog!Why?

Well, it’s Etsy’s fault of course. And in case you’ve been hiding under a rock in the middle of nowhere and have no clue what an Etsy is, let me enlighten you: Etsy.com is an extraordinary  site dedicated to giving creative folks (from all walks of life) the ability to sell their handcrafted works all in one big marketplace. Fierce, right??? I know.

Needless to say, since discovering Etsy a few months ago, I’ve become infatuated (or . . . ahem . . . bordeline addicted) to browsing through the gorgeous creations of some unbelievably talented people. People who sit in the corner of their kitchen,  at a desk in their living room, or in a tiny studio, creating great wonders. People who aren’t found in your every day Goliath chain stores (“Big Box” stores as handcrafters like to call them). With that said, after months of oohing and aahing, I realized that tons of people aren’t hip to the goodness that is Etsy. That’s where my fingers, a keyboard, and a trained hawk eye for Etsy drool-worthy items come in.

Daily, I’ll post 5 handmade items from Etsy’s site and I’ll be sure to tell you why I love each and every one. Funny thing is, I’m sure you will too. Be sure to check back often – there’s so many goodies to choose from. I’ll dig and come up breathless with something you’ll probably want to grab for yourself, a friend, family member, or significant other.
